Guest speakers

In addition to the University of Vigo faculty lecturers, and subject to budgetary constraints, guest speakers are also invited who are assisted by a lecturer of each subject area, who will in any case be responsible for the assessment. Guest speakers are important as they already have direct experience and expert practical knowledge of the specific area of international commerce. During the first six years of the course implementation (2008/2009 up to 2014/2015), the guest speakers (approximately 80 external lecturers) collaborated in the delivery of an average 100 hours of lectures for each course. Of those, approximately two thirds concerned managers or entrepreneurs who explained their business experience, and the others were various technical specialists who came from Chambers of Commerce, ICEX [Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade], Customs, or other bodies, or even independent experts in question concerning legal matters, linguistics, IT or communications related to international trade.
